Emma Lindblad is a fully certified STOTT Pilates Instructor, Pre/Post Natal Pilates Specialist through The Center for Woman’s Fitness, TotalBarre Instructor and also qualified to teach TRX Suspension Training.
Having found her love for movement early in life she trained for several years to become a professional dancer. It was during her dance education in Europe that she first came in contact with Pilates, and fell in love immediately. Unfortunately, she had to end her career in dance after injuring one of her knees which required surgical intervention to manage.
The Pilates method of exercise helped her to target areas that professional dance training could not reach and also helped her recover quickly after her knee surgery.
As a way to heal her body and help others do the same, she decided to become a Pilates instructor. After working through the initial education in Sweden she then traveled to Canada to complete her certification in STOTT Pilates.
Now living and working in Canada, Emma continues to develop her craft and strives constantly for deeper understanding of all levels of movement.
Given her personal experience with knee rehabilitation and having a studied Sport and Exercise Psychology at the University of Lund, Emma has a strong understanding of the mind and body connection and draws upon this knowledge to benefit her clients.
Since Emma has started instructing, she has had the privilege of working with a very diverse clientele base including dancers, athletes and pre & postnatal clients to name a few. She makes every effort to provide a professional, progressive and comfortable environment.
While instructing, Emma has worked alongside Registered Massage Therapists and Physiotherapists gaining valuable experience collaborating and working in a team environment to help clients achieve their goals.
Outside of the studio, Emma loves exploring different movement methods, playing piano, singing opera and spending time with her family.
