Naomi graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Prior to this, she completed her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Ottawa.
Naomi’s treatment approach focuses on manual therapy, specific exercises, Gunn IMS and educating her clients on their rehabilitation. She assesses the contributing factors to an injury so that any underlying causes can be addressed and recurrent injury may be avoided. Naomi likes working with clients of all ages and athletic abilities, taking a client centered approach helping them understand and recover from their injuries and getting them back to the activities they are passionate about.
Having worked a couple years in Whistler British Columbia, Naomi has had experience treating some of Canada’s and the World’s highest level athletes, giving her deeper appreciation of the importance and desired speed to return safely to one’s sport.
Naomi enjoys treating a variety of orthopaedic and sports-related injuries and helping others to continue enjoying their own active pursuits. She continues to pursue post-graduate courses in advanced manual and manipulative physiotherapy working towards her FCAMPT designation, along with soft tissue release techniques – to conquer those aches and pains!
Naomi has obtained her Gunn IMS certification through the University of British Columbia. This specific method of assessment and treatment can be very effective on persistent chronic pain, creating for some very positive patient outcomes.
Outside the clinic, Naomi loves spending her time outdoors keeping active through cross country and downhill skiing, mountain biking, hiking, ultimate frisbee and water sports.
