Rhea Plosker (she/her) holds a Master of Counselling Degree (Athabasca University), a Master of Applied Science Degree in Engineering (University of Toronto), and Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering (University of Toronto). In addition to her university education, she has advanced certificates in:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Depression and Anxiety)
- Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Facilitation
- Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Facilitation
- Solution Focused Therapy
Rhea has also taken advanced training and clinical supervision in:
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma
- Intuitive Eating/Mindful Eating
- Narrative Therapy and Community Work
Rhea is a qualified mentor and professional development instructor with the Centre for Mindfulness Studies, and a teacher/instructor for George Brown Continuing Education. She regularly offers corporate workshops in mindfulness for purposes of stress management.
Rhea brings more than two decades of experience coaching individuals, teams, and projects as an engineer, technology executive and independent consultant. Today, she continues this work as a tutor with GetSmarter Oxford University Women’s Leadership Development Program, a global online program developing the next generation of women leaders.
In addition to Rhea’s private practice, she has hospital and health care counselling experience working in palliative care. She is also a program leader with Wellspring, providing mindfulness programs and counselling for cancer survivors and their loved ones.
