Dr. Ken Nakamura, a dedicated chiropractor, has been transforming lives for our patients at Rebalance Sports Medicine. His healthcare journey began with a specialization in Biology at university, laying the foundation for his career aspirations. Driven by a passion to contribute to the well-being of others, he pursued a chiropractic career.
After completing three years of undergraduate studies, Dr. Ken enrolled in the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, dedicating seven more years to post-graduate education. His perseverance culminated in the title of Doctor of Chiropractic. Dr. Ken has since maintained a relentless pursuit of knowledge, investing hundreds of hours annually in post-graduate education, seminars, and research.
In his pursuit of excellence, Dr. Ken’s professional accolades include serving as the Attending Chiropractor for Judo Ontario Tournaments, British Team Chiropractor for European Veterans Athletic Championships, and Chiropractor for The North American Police Soccer Championships.
Dr. Ken Nakamura’s patient-centric approach shines through his innovative C3 Program—a personalized care regimen tailored to individual conditions and body types. Merging evidence-based treatments with the C3 Program, his objective is to deploy the most effective tools for each patient. His diverse approach includes spinal manipulative therapy, extremity manipulation, individualized rehabilitation programs, acupuncture, ART® (active release techniques), Graston, Kinesio taping, custom-made orthotics, heel lifts, nutritional guidance, shockwave therapy, laser treatment, and ergonomic advice.
Beyond his chiropractic prowess, Dr. Ken is a seasoned athlete. Holding a second-degree black belt (Nidan) in Judo, he has six Ontario champion titles and a bronze medal at the Canadian Championships. Adding to his athletic repertoire, Dr. Ken has completed two marathons, achieving a notable personal best time of 3:34.
Away from the clinic and the dojo, Dr. Ken Nakamura is a devoted father and spouse. His passion for helping people is palpable, with his primary goal being to initiate positive changes in his patients from their very first visit. While immediate transformation isn’t guaranteed, Dr. Ken tirelessly strives to achieve this goal by continually reassessing his patients throughout treatments and sessions.
Beyond martial arts, Dr. Ken has delved into diverse athletic pursuits, including Kendo, and kickboxing, and currently, he passionately engages in competitive dragon boating as a member of the Barracudas Dragon Boat Team.
