Dr. Parsi is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor practicing in Toronto. She focuses her naturopathic practice on increasing lifespan, health span (quality of life), and delaying the onset of chronic disease.
Depending on the patient’s goals and unique circumstances, Dr. Parsi uses a combination of clinical nutrition, exercise instruction, lifestyle counseling (including techniques to improve sleep and increase stress tolerance), acupuncture, herbal medicine, and supplements to improve well-being and optimize health.
Dr. Parsi treats a variety of conditions including but not limited to digestive symptoms, anxiety, insomnia, menstrual irregularities, sports injuries, infertility, and weight loss.
Dr. Parsi’s approach involves taking a thorough assessment, determining the root cause of the condition, and treating patients in the least invasive way to reverse and/or prevent disease. Each treatment plan is individually tailored and selected based on evidence-based medicine, traditional natural therapies, clinical experience, and patient preference. Treatment also consists of educating patients on becoming independent in the management of their health.
Dr. Parsi earned her Naturopathic degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, English Literature, and Sociology, and a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from McGill University.
Dr. Parsi has also completed additional training in Intravenous Therapy and is licensed to prescribe certain pharmaceuticals including desiccated thyroid and bio-identical hormones in Ontario.
Dr. Parsi also has a special interest in weight training for management of age-related muscle and bone loss and in the rehabilitation of sports injuries. She has participated in multiple strength training seminars and is a certified sports nutritionist.
