Dr. Chad Carter earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College following the completion of an Honours Degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University.
He has completed the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program at McMaster University and is currently an Instructor with the program. He is a full-body Active Release Techniques (ART®) Provider and possesses a Whole Foods Nutrition Certification.
Driven by his own passion for sports and athletics, Dr. Carter has dedicated his continuing education to various sports therapies which better assess and improve biomechanical dysfunctions, decrease rehabilitation length and optimize performance.
In caring for athletes and weekend warriors alike, Dr. Carter follows a functional integrated therapy approach to treating. He is a firm believer in patient-centered care and incorporates techniques such as neurofunctional electroacupuncture, joint manipulation, Graston, ART®, custom orthotics casting, kinesiotaping, exercise prescriptions, shockwave therapy, rapid release therapy and nutritional advice.
Dr. Carter has been the team Chiropractor and head therapist for the Toronto Junior A Canadiens in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) for 3 years. He is currently a trackside therapist with various high-level track and field clubs in Ontario. Furthermore, he is currently a performance therapy consultant to athletes in the OHL, AHL, NHL, CIS, NCAA and NBA.
Dr. Carter is a strong believer in maintenance and performance care before injury care and has dedicated his craft to identifying dysfunctions at the core of any functional condition.
