She successfully completed her Physiotherapy training earning her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto. Since then, Helen has been actively pursuing additional skills through advanced manual therapy courses, acupuncture, soft tissue release techniques and taping.
Helen uses a hands-on approach to provide individualized treatment plans through manual therapy, soft tissue release and exercise prescription. Her goal for every patient is to treat the injury but also address compensatory movements and provide patients with strategies to prevent re-injury in the future.
From a young age, Helen has enjoyed a very active lifestyle. She has participated in many different sports and physical activities from running and gymnastics to curling. Helen currently competes in dragonboat paddling where she has had the opportunity to represent Canada on the U24 National team at the World Nations Championships in 2017. Helen has experienced her fair share of injuries with paddling and is able to empathize with her clients and can relate to the impact that injury has on training and daily life.
